October was a very special month for 820 Spirits as we got to attend the extremely grand Mansion House, the residence of the Lord Mayor of London, for a spectacular evening when the Gin Guild and Distillers’ Guild came together for its annual dinner. 820’s Founder and Chief Distiller Tom was among the esteemed guests, joining friends and industry colleagues in a night filled with camaraderie, lively conversation, and the finest spirits.
The opulent surroundings, adorned for the occasion, framed a series of splendid rituals and traditions. New guild members are inducted in a formal ceremony, followed by a lively reception of toasts and the renowned passing of the Lovers’ Cup around the table.
The event is a fantastic celebration of tradition, excellence, and the spirit of the guilds, all accompanied by exquisite food and drink that honours the craftsmanship of the industry.
